My feelings

Truth be told, every time I watch the news, I try to convince myself the deaths of my countrymen don't matter, that my fellow Indians don't care. so why should I? I try to rationalize away the anger, to convince myself that apathy or inaction are in fact the most logical responses. When that doesn't work, I tell myself we are a weak, perhaps even despicable society, unwilling to fight back and thus unworthy of saving. I tell myself these things in a vain effort to insulate myself. But none of that works because it's impossible to just stop caring.
